This Privacy Policy explains how Big Man Construction, also known as Big Man on the Roof (collectively, “BMC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our websites, submit a form, schedule an appointment, communicate with us, request an inspection or estimate, sign documents electronically, or receive construction or roofing services.

Plain-language summary: We use your information to respond to you, evaluate and perform your project, coordinate the people and organizations needed for that work, collect payment, and provide communications you requested. We do not sell your personal information or share mobile opt-in consent with unaffiliated third parties for their marketing.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with BMC, we may collect:

• Contact and identity information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and preferred communication method.
• Property and appointment information, such as the property address, ownership or decision-making authority, appointment date, roof age, concerns, project timing, referral source, and pre-visit notes.
• Inspection and project information, including measurements, photographs, videos, roof and ventilation details, material selections, estimates, proposals, contracts, permits, HOA status, production notes, punch-list items, warranties, and service history.
• Insurance and financing coordination information, such as carrier, claim number, date of loss, observed damage, scopes, estimates, payment status, mortgage-company information, and communications involving adjusters, public adjusters, attorneys, lenders, or other authorized parties.
• Transaction information, such as invoices, deposits, payment status, and limited payment-related details supplied by our payment processors. BMC does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers in its customer relationship system.
• Communication records, including emails, text messages, call notes, support requests, consent records, and your communication preferences.
• Technical information, such as IP address, device and browser type, referring page, form attribution, cookies, and website or message engagement data.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you, from a person who refers or is authorized to act for you, through our forms and scheduling tools, during inspections and project work, and from service providers or organizations involved in your project. Those organizations may include measurement and estimating providers, subcontractors, suppliers, permitting authorities, insurers, adjusters, mortgage companies, public adjusters, attorneys, payment processors, and communication or customer-management platforms.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• respond to inquiries and schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments;
• prepare for and perform inspections, measurements, estimates, proposals, contracting, permitting, production, repairs, replacements, closeout, and warranty service;
• create and maintain customer, opportunity, project, insurance, payment, and communication records;
• coordinate suppliers, crews, subcontractors, service vendors, government authorities, insurers, mortgage companies, and other authorized project participants;
• send transactional updates, reminders, requested information, invoices, document-signing notices, review requests, and referral communications;
• send marketing messages when you have opted in and as permitted by law;
• improve our services, workflows, website experience, security, and customer support;
• prevent fraud, protect people and property, enforce agreements, and comply with legal, tax, licensing, insurance, and recordkeeping obligations.

4. How We Disclose Information

• technology providers supporting our website, scheduling, CRM, email, text messaging, e-signature, cloud storage, project documentation, measurement, estimating, and analytics;
• payment processors, accountants, insurers, professional advisors, and fraud-prevention providers;
• suppliers, crews, subcontractors, service vendors, permitting offices, inspectors, and HOAs involved in your project;
• insurers, adjusters, mortgage companies, public adjusters, attorneys, or other parties when you direct or authorize us, or when reasonably necessary to administer your project or claim;
• government authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, safety needs, or the protection of our rights; and
• a successor organization in connection with a merger, financing, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

Mobile information and consent: We do not sell mobile information. We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with unaffiliated third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with vendors that help us deliver messages or support our communications, but they may use it only to provide those services to BMC.

5. Email and Text Messages

When you request an appointment or project service, we may send non-marketing communications about that request or project. Marketing communications are optional and require the consent described on the applicable form. Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary non-marketing communications about an active appointment, contract, payment, safety matter, or project, where permitted by law. You may also communicate a revocation request through any reasonable contact method.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our websites and embedded tools may use cookies and similar technologies to operate pages and forms, preserve unfinished submissions, prevent fraud, understand traffic, and measure communications or advertising. Browser settings may allow you to block some cookies, but doing so may limit form or scheduling functionality.

7. Data Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain project and warranty records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, insurance, tax, licensing, and operational obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and project status.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No system, transmission method, or storage platform can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Your Choices and Requests

You may ask to review, correct, or delete personal information we maintain about you, or withdraw a communication preference, subject to applicable law and records we must retain. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may remain in backups, transaction records, warranty files, legal files, or other records that we are permitted or required to keep.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for property owners, authorized decision-makers, and adults seeking construction services. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

Our pages may link to or embed services operated by other organizations. Their privacy practices and terms govern their systems. We encourage you to review those notices when leaving our pages or using an embedded third-party service.

11. Changes to This Policy
